Tired. Tired. Tired. This past week energy has not been a friend of mine. Not that it really has been for a while now, but I felt like I was finally starting to get a little more motivation back only to just lose it all. I can sleep pretty well, for 9 - 10 hours at night, and still be completely exhausted by 10am. On top of the typically pregnancy exhaustion, Dean had the flu last week, and I feel like my body has been fighting getting sick as well. Thankfully it hasn't gotten worse than a come and go headache and wanting to sleep all the time. We've been limiting our sugar intake and taking our supplements, and I am praying that the flu does not return in me or the boys! I am really hoping to get some energy back soon, so I can do more than just keeping us fed and dressed every day...
My appetite is still...meh. I do ok eating during the day, but I have been struggling getting back to planning and making dinners. Nothing sounds good to me! I prefer just eating smaller meals/snacks. My go to food these days are yogurt smoothies. The boys love them too. Using raw milk yogurt, frozen fruit, egg yolks, coconut oil, cod liver oil (if I have it on hand) and a little honey they are delicious and high in good fats. A big part in helping me finally gaining weight; 5 lbs in the past 3 weeks! Well, that and Christmas helped. Ok, ok. I mean Christmas cookies.
I think I have felt the baby move a few times. You'd think with this being the third time going at this growing a baby thing I would know how it feels. But seriously, a 4 inch, 2.5 oz wiggly baby and gas moving are very similar.
I have really noticed my belly finally growing this past week. As much as I try, there is no sucking it in anymore! I am in that awkward I look bloated/chubby not pregnant stage, but it really hasn't bothered me as much as it has with my past pregnancies. Just like my past 2 babies, I am carrying this one nice and low. It makes me feel like some Dr. Seuss character (The Grinch maybe?) Anyways, here I am at 16 weeks!
