About To Get My Butt Kicked...

Kicked into shape, that is! Along with my stomach, thighs and the lovely post-pregnancy back fat. I got the go ahead from my midwife to start working out, if I wanted, and boy do I want to! In general, I am a pretty active person. I feel so blah when I am not able to workout. Between being sick the last couple weeks of being pregnant, and then having a baby....well, its been awhile.

My focus for now will not be weight loss. My body does still need to be makin' milk for this sweet baby of mine. If anything, I will have to eat more! It will be more getting back my strength and flexibility.

Sam is still a bit young to leave in childwatch at the YMCA (in my opinion, although he technically can now), so my workout of choice for now will be good ol' Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I know I will not be able to do it 30 days straight, but my goal is to keep track of the 30 times I do it. 3 levels 10 times each.

Today was day 1. It went better then I thought it would, but I can tell am I going to feel it tomorrow! I sure wish I had the video camera out to tape Will working out with me. He was hysterical!

On another note: Sam had a bath today!

A New Look For A New Year

I have been sitting here for 10 minutes trying to think of what to write first. So there. Problem solved.

You like the new look? I do. I love the bright colors of my old background, but it just didn't seem to be fitting for winter. Plus, I was ready for a change. I am sure in a few months I will be bored with this, and ready for a different look yet again!

I had it in my mind to do a post for Christmas, but life got the best of me. I didn't even take any pictures! Despite my many efforts, I wasn't even able to get a picture of my two boys together. I ended up sending out two separate pictures. Oy!

Nevertheless, we had a wonderful Christmas! Christmas morning we headed out to my parents for gift giving and breakfast, and then spent the afternoon at my Aunt and Uncles house with my mom's side of the family. Sunday my brother and his wife hosted Christmas for my Dad's side.

On another note: Samuel is one month old! He has been such a great baby so far. Sleeping is going ok. He's gotten onto a bit of a schedule during the day, which when followed, has been great! So far, 75% of the time I can get him to sleep on his own at the same time Will naps. It is nice to be able to take a shower, and not have him scream the whole time. He is spending a lot more time awake during the day which is fun! His favorite things to do are suck on my thumb and stare off into space.
