First snow

Before we moved to our new house Dean would tell Will all the fun stuff they would do in the snow in our new bigger backyard once we moved; Build a snowman and igloo, snowball fights and being pulled in the sled. But what Will thought was that new house = snow! So, he was quite disappointed that our first day in the new house (in October) there was no snow. Ha! But he finally got his snow last week, and was super excited to go out and play. Will and Sam both had a blast!

Pregnancy Diary 2: Week 14

Ahhhhhhh. I am really liking how good 14 weeks is looking! The past few days I have finally made a turn for the better, and am starting to feel "normal". It's been 4 days and counting since I threw up last. Woo hoo! I still have low energy, and have to sit down and rest every so often when my heart starts pounding. But I have been back to doing laundry, sweeping floors and venturing into the kitchen. I even made scrambled eggs for myself and Dean yesterday; THAT is big people. Today I sat at the table and ate lunch with my boys!

Little bit of Christmas coziness

I am so excited to have a nice full house to decorate for Christmas. I have been especially excited to decorate our mantle (I am pretty much in love with it)! I've had to let go of going all out this year, but we were able to get a few things up. I think it makes a house feel so much cozier. Dean and Will went out with my family to a little Christmas tree farm down the road from their house, and got us a nice big tree!  Dean strung the lights for me, I was able to help a little with the garland and ribbon and Will was awesome at hanging the ornaments. I thought for sure he would get bored after the first few, but he loved it! Here is a look at our little bit of Christmas coziness.

Pregnancy Diary 2: Week 12

I have been longing to get to 12 weeks for, well, about 6 weeks now. Things aren't spectacular yet. But I am better than I was, so I'll take it. I remember feeling pretty much back to normal around 15 weeks with Sam. I am hoping it is the same for this time around, but it seems to be dragging on a bit longer. I still have 3 more weeks til 15, so I am hopeful!

Smells are the biggest trigger for making me throw up, which still happens a few times a day. I have almost zero appetite still, but I am making myself eat. My daily staples are yogurt, banana's and cottage cheese, although I definitely wouldn't describe them as cravings. It's just plain tasting food I can grab quickly from the kitchen.

I am trying to get up more and move around, whether it's picking up a few toys off the floor or folding laundry in bed. The more I move around, the more nauseous I become and the more my heart starts pounding. I get dizzy as well, which I am very careful about. I actually did pass out when pregnant with Will (in the check out line at a store!) and came pretty close while pregnant with Sam.

Our whole household is definitely ready for mom to "come back" (including me!).

So, here is the first belly bump shot. Although, to be quite honest, I am pretty sure the reason for me "showing" is my very (painful!) backed up bowels! Oh the joys of pregnancy!

Happy 2nd Birthday Samuel!

My baby is 2 years old!

My sweet Samuel, I can't believe you are 2 years old already! You are so much fun to be around. You are starting to talk a whole bunch, and you have the cutest little voice. Although, you can be quite loud! You will say "Hi" or "Bye" to everyone you see, always with smile and big wave. You love to play outside, and God forbid Daddy and Will go out without you! You can be quite cuddly at times, but are usually on the go and making messes. Your newest thing is galloping. It's the funniest thing, and you know it! You love to wear things on your head, usually pants or Will's underwear.

Your daddy and I love you so much, and can't imagine life without you. Happy Birthday Sam!
