Oh Christmas tree

This was the first year Will was really into helping decorate our Christmas tree. He pretty much put all the ornaments on it, including the ones on the top which he dragged a chair over to do. It was pretty cute. Our tree this year is substantially smaller than our tree last year, and I love it that way. Last year I was still feeling lousy from my morning sickness, so the tree picking was left up to others. It has been so much fun really getting into decorating our house this year! Like I said, I was still getting over being super sick while pregnant with Charlie, so my decorating then was limited. Hopefully this week I will get around to taking some pictures of the house all prettied up, but for now here is our cute little tree!

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY SAM!

My little Sam is 3! This kid is such a stinker, and is always cracking us up. He has a very out going personality and loves to say hi to everyone. When I get back from being out he will run over to me saying, "Hi mom! I missed you!" Oh my heart.

I just can't get enough of hearing him talk. The things he says, and his adorable, although VERY LOUD, voice is just too much. If he gets hurt (which is ALL THE TIME), he'll cry for a minute and just like that he'll stop and say, "Oh. I'm fine", and be on his way. Dean and I are always looking at each other like, "Did he just say what we thought he said?" I really need to start writing the things he says down, because I forget it so fast!

He loves dinosaurs, builds the best block towers and loves making pillow forts to hide in.

He calls Charlie "Farfay" and it's the cutest thing ever.

Every time he hiccups he says, "Excuse me."

He knows his ABC's and can count to ten.

He loves to drag over his little chair to the kitchen counter and "help mom".

When I put him to bed we pray, sing his song and he will ask for "One more hug. One more kiss. One more hug. One more kiss".

We love you so much Sam! Happy Birthday bud!

See Sam at 1 year and 2 years old!

Excuse me while I boast

I don't really talk much about my husband on this blog. Every so often his face will just happen to be in some of the pictures I share and occasionally (but not nearly enough) I will remember to write a post for his birthday or an anniversary. He isn't into sharing what he wore (but how great would THAT be?), and he doesn't change hardly enough to do a photo shoot every month. But he has been doing some great things lately, and I wanted to boast for a minute about it.

Dean just never stops thinking, and dreaming, and scheming and creating. He is a visionary to the T. It is a fantastic quality in him. He has a great desire to not only provide for us, but to use his skills and wealth to share the Gospel in a big way.

As long as we have been together I have been his filtration system. Oh the ideas this man has had. I have come to know that if he comes to me all excited saying, "Ok! So, I was thinking. What if....." it does NOT mean we are about to do something fun, but that he has yet another invention or idea that I need to yay or nay. Although, if one day you see a catapult in our backyard just know I definitely did not yay that one. Moving on...

For about a year now, Dean has been hard at work on a new business venture. Countless hours have been poured into it. Many nights have been spent away from his family. Risks have definitely been taken. The day is here, and I am so proud of him.

So, please! Support local businesses, support three amazingly adorable boys and go check out Favular!
